MILK BAR
50
|
 |
| There
has never been a Mobile Calf Feeder so easy to use, or so
easy to clean after use! |
| The
'pull through' Milk Bar Teats do not need to be removed for
cleaning, so there is no time consuming re-assembly before
feeding, and there are no threads to harbour bacteria. |
| There
are no hard to clean pipes or tubes, the only plumbing is
the taps. The manifold is open for easy cleaning, and easy
teat installation. |
| User
tips.
Mix the milk in the tank to save double handling. Drive the
Milk Bar Mobile to the first group of calves. Park where the
ground is level across the width of the feeder, and let the
required volume into the manifold. While the milk is flowing,
use the manual leveler to level the feeder. It is not necessary
to watch the calves as they can only drink the milk that is
in the manifolds. We recommend keeping about 10% of the teats
free so the last calf to arrive at the feeder can easily find
a teat. |

CLEANING.
Set the leveler in the lowest position so the tank and manifolds
will drain, and flush with cold water. Set the leveler back
to the level position and put some hot water with alkali detergent
added into the tank, give the tank a light scrub. Drain the
water into the manifold and give the manifold a light scrub.
While the hot water is in the manifold, clean the teats with
a horizontal scrubbing action. This will bend the teats with
each pass, forcing the water back into the manifold, cleaning
the inner teat surface.
