In 2017 one of Italy's top buffalo farms compared using the Milk Bar System and their existing fast teat system.
Calves were feed 3.5L of milk replacer twice a day.
Water and starter ration were available ad libitum.
Calves were housed individually and fed from a single teat feeder.

Calves fed from the Milk Bar System were weaned on average five days earlier than those fed from the faster teat and were on average of 12kg heavier!
Earlier weaning reduces cost and time.
